El café ha sido uno de los principales productos agrícolas de exportación en El Salvador desde hace muchos años.

Lográndose posicionar dentro de los tres productores más grandes de café a nivel mundial, exportando más de 5 millones de quintales oro en la década de los setentas.

A través del tiempo el café salvadoreño ha sido exportado a la mayoría de países consumidores de café en el mundo. Degustando así un café de calidad, de excelente aroma y sabor.

Café arábica es el cultivo principal de El Salvador, en sus variedades comerciales: Bourbon, Pacas, Pacamara, Catuai Rojo, Catisic y Cuzcatleco. Siendo la variedad Bourbón y Pacas que dan la cobertura a más del 80% del sector. Las características peculiares del café salvadoreño como, su cuerpo, su aroma y acidez, lo posicionan con muy buena reputación a nivel mundial.
